Joseph Bachewicz has over 40 years’ experience in both commercial and residential investment, development and brokerage activities as an entrepreneur and property owner. Mr. Bachewicz started his career in the commercial department at Draper & Kramer, Inc. in 1972 At D & K he was involved in leasing regional malls such as Hawthorne Center and Fox Valley and the leasing of strip centers until 1975. Until July 1976, he worked in commercial leasing at Development Control Corporation in Northfield.
While he was at Draper & Kramer, Inc., he and several partners purchased multifamily properties which became the basis for starting B & B Investment Company in 1972. B & B Investment Company (B & B) and his property management company, B & B Property Services, Inc. owned, rehabbed and managed rental apartment units. In Rogers Park, 1337 W. Fargo (88 units) and 6230 W. Kenmore (135units), and New Town communities, including 515 Briar (76 units), 540 Briar (110 units), 620 Barry (60 units), 625 Barry (25 units) and 719 Barry (44 units),
Starting in the late 1970’s, B & B purchased and converted to condominium 4900 Marine Drive, Chicago, IL (81 units), Yorktown Green, Lombard, IL, (264 units), 720 Gordon Terrace, Chicago, IL (270 units), and Hilldale Village, Hoffman Estates, IL (312 units first phase, Augusta Village).
In the mid 1980’s he operated J.S. BACHEWICZ & ASSOCIATES Inc. with Carey Overstreet where they syndicated and managed apartment buildings in Lincoln Park and Lakeview.
Since, 1987, Mr. Bachewicz has been involved in commercial development, primarily Walgreens Drug Stores in Chicago and its suburbs and in Indiana and Michigan.

Mr. Bachewicz graduated Magda Cum Laude with a BBA from The University of Notre Dame in 1971and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1972 and is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois.
